Using hypnosis in making appeal when doing radio broadcast, is a technique that may not be purely relegated to hypnosis. This technique being talked about is the use of a persuasive voice talent that uses words that can evoke emotions, visualizations and other things. The voices over the radio used to hold a lot of influence on the masses, especially before television was invented.
On air, there were voices of men and women who managed to sell products over the air using music and words. Voices that were most influential were those who sang on air, most notable were Frank Sinatra, Eydie Gorme, Doris Day, etc. Their voices were hypnotic, the power of their words could play with the emotions of the listeners, and the advertisements they said over the radio, made consumers buy the products the minute they were heard.
The radio years have evolved through the age. However, the power of the radio has lost their appeal as more and more people are using television and internet to look, listen and read. The radios nowadays are relegated to commentaries and entertainment shows like Howard Stern who makes millions out of being nasty. Is he using conversational hypnosis in making appeal when doing radio broadcast? I wouldn’t put it past him to try anything over the air, and millions are listening and reacting.
There are appeals made over the radio that can evoke such violent reactions that the invention of the cell phone has even managed to put its own worth. Listeners on the freeway can make instant, over the air reactions that catapult shows into the limelight. Their sales soar, their hosts get famous.
Using hypnosis in making appeal when doing radio broadcast may not really be using hypnosis per se. However, the combination of how the voice sounds sexy over the radio and the products they endorse makes for successful ad campaigns.
